Document Summary
Bees remember the time of the day that they discovered food (food anticipation) One attribute of the food is the time of the day when it is discovered. Marmosets learn which box will contain food, but assume (based on their behaviour) that this is restricted to one time of day. They can learn to recognize the container, context and location when the food was found - only do it on the time of day they find the food in the first place. Hamsters and mice learn where they will find food, or receive a foot shock, and what time of day this will happen. Receive food in a particular place and they remember the place - they behave only at the particular time of the day they received the food. Human beings have distinct times of day that they will perform specific tasks or actions.
