Nestler and malenka circuitry, stimulation of this pathway reinforces behavior, ensuring that what you just did you will do again. : drugs of abuse commandeer the brain"s natural reward. Drugs hijack brain system, and give us an unnatural reward which make us feel good and make us want to do more drugs to achieve the feeling again. Learning is strongly affected by reward and the rewarding effects.
