Leads to atherosclerosis: hdl-c vs. ldl-c, diabetes mellitus, metabolic disorder contributes to development of atherosclerosis, uncontrollable genetic, but modifiable lifestyle, uncontrollable factors. Smoking, obesity, sedentary lifestyle: untreated hypertension, untreated cholesterol.
