Document Summary
Rationales for government intervention: what are we trying to achieve. Whose objectives: compensation for losses, processes of redistribution. Income distribution: special interests, regional, sectoral, urban/rural, first nations, citizens, others. Three kinds of people: some people look at life and see market failures everywhere. Naomi klein: some people look at life and see optimal solutions everywhere. Paul ryan: life is more complex than either. Building culture: health and safety, environmental, fairness and fraud, mediating conflicts, nation building, values. Merit goods: deconstruct the problem and understand what and why. And the crime, and the gangs, and the drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential. This american carnage stops right here and stops right now. Justice: if the mayor doesn"t fix the horrible carnage going on, i am going to send in the feds . Morality: do good the noun good .
