Identify concepts, causes, consequences of political behaviour. History for a particular case (only historical context when applicable) Internal workings of individual people we are looking for generalizability: individual stories, psychology or personality. Ir comes up with claims that agree with eachother or are diametrically opposed levels of analysis are complementary but separate because they give us analytical clarity differently.
