These images were taken during a 1944 test launch. The bichromatic markings painted onto this experimental rocket helped scientists to monitor the rocket"s roll (i. e. , spin) when reviewing film of the launch. Icbm means rocket with a range of at least 5,000 kms. Mrbm means a rocket with a range of 1,000 to 3,000 kms. Countries listed in red have demonstrated the capacity to launch long-range ballistic missiles and have nuclear weapons. It is likely albeit unconfirmed whether india, israel, and pakistan have yet developed nuclear weapons small enough to be carried on their existing long-range ballistic missiles.
