Plato: gemotry, search for ideal, not empirical, regime type based on moral psychology, philosphers and truth central belived there was truths in politics we could figure out. Aristole belived society would thrive if there was difference. Politics is for citizens not subject: ruling. Ruling: master/slave, statesman/citzen are not the same. Masters do not rule slaves they use slaves. He defends slavery: is problematic for us. Ruling is a natural heiarchy according to him.
