Both descartes and plato should closing your eyes and just thinking. We can only acquire knowledge through faculty of judgement. Whatever is perceived clearly must be true. Needs to show that god is not a deceiver and that he is not the prey of a demon. That he is protected by a god, who is like a demon but not evil. But first he must be sure that god does exist and god will guarantee ability to reason. If god did not exist, he could not have idea of god: he could not exists unless god created him. Classifies different ideas and where these ideas come from. Cant be mistaken: emotions, volitions, ideas just considered in themselves (how things seem)
