Some maps more useful, some more fanciful, or decorated with images that tell you about cultural and political functions, latter are more for land travels, where rhomb lines converge on land. Some parts of the world may have been very accurate (nile, middle east) some are insanely wrong. North african, travelled, went on a pilgrimage, across north. Pg821, grounded, non- judgemental, looking for common ground. Visits bethlehem, open to all cultures of people. Jerusalem, describes history, holy place but not number. Does not believe the grave of jesus is there, but that the real one is elsewhere. Acre now in ruins was its capital after jerusalem. Talks a lot of things that existed in these place"s past. Map of jerusalem is a perfect circle = religious symbol, circle=perfection.
