Document Summary

This experiment involves boosting the animals with dnp carriers. We generate a b cell population from the spleen of the animals. Once its back to a resting state, we immunize again. At the junction between the 2, some of the b cells will have had a mhc mediated interaction with a t cell. The b cell population will contain some apcs that are syngeneic, expressing h2d. All we have to do to induce b cell activation, we have to activate the t cells in the area. We have added the clone, syngeneic b cells and allogenaic b cells and weve also added dnp-klh. We do(cid:374)"t get pla(cid:395)ue fo(cid:396)(cid:373)i(cid:374)g (cid:272)ells f(cid:396)o(cid:373) hb b (cid:272)ells. The (cid:396)eason that the boosted b cell population no longer requires a mhc resirtctd interaction with a t cell is because its already had one within the animal.
