How do you get slaves to trade: looking at west africa. European ships visited africa, and tried to stay for as least of time as possible as they were susceptible to disease. Relied on african traders and elites to go into the interior to buy or fight for other africans, so that the african elites could sell them off to the european traders. Europeans are dependent on africa to get slaves.
