Composed of hawaii, eastern island, new zealand: c. 900 1300 ad, beat technologies, trading networks, collapse due to climate change, most northern island in polynesian triangle. Grew taro root, sweet potato (southern america!) Ate fish, pigs, dogs, rats, chicken : 4 major castes. Colonization of new zealand: one of the last places colonized, 1200-1300 ad. Major feature of globalized world: commodity trade, socially sugar!
