Idea of manifest destiny in the us, and a mari usque ad mare is canada"s motto ( from sea to sea ) This motto comes from the bible from sea to sea, man should have dominion over all. Manifest destiny white settlers overlooking fertile empty land or poor peoples, progress forward. A right and requirement to take over land from coast to coast. Ideas of private property, settlement types, etc were enforced over new conquered lands. Cities and settler colonialisms are co-constituent they formed together.
