Adrenal gland has outer cortex releases glucocorticoids back into bloodstream after. Acth > can act on medulla to release ne. Areas affected by stress are: amygdala spiny neuron, nacc medium spiny neuron. Ca3 neurons have impairment in memory (these are for memory) Dendritic spines conduct aps, and stress can increase dendritic arms or can change function in the pre/post synapses.
