Document Summary

An astronaut pushes herself away from her large spacecraft. She and the spacecraft move apart, she more quickly than the spacecraft (2nd law, f = ma) It is always the same because the angular momentum is conserved. Presented idea of force and the laws of motion. Speed: the rate of change of position. E. g. the car is travelling 60 km per hour. E. g. the car is going north at 60km per hour. Acceleration: the rate of change of velocity. E. g. the car is changing speed from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in 9s. Car has changed from going due north at 60 km/h t going due east at 60 km/h in. An object in motion remains in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. Acceleration is proportional to force and inversely proportional to mass. For every force, there is always an equal and opposite reaction force.
