Co2 in the atmosphere dissolve in raindrops. Rain then fall down, flows into ocean floor along with minerals. Minerals + carbon=rocks on the ocean floor. These rocks then slowly move under earth"s mantle and inside volcanoes using tectonics activities. These rocks melt under the temperature and when volcanoes erupt, co2 outgassed into the atmosphere. Cooling: allow co2 to build up in the atmosphere. Heating: cause rain to reduce co2 in the atmosphere: climate change. The amount of co2 reset the thermostat to a new average temperature. Human activities due to the industrial revolution in the last 250 years has increased the. Co2 levels to the highest levels in 40000 years. Co2 effect the earth"s temperature: how the atmosphere lost its gas: The distance from the sun (venus is much closer) > carbon cycle stopped (no water to dissolve co2) + used to have a magnetic field, protecting its atmosphere.
