Importance of creative listening is ignored, but is still the most fundamental to music. Most number of people in society are musical because they can perceive different kinds of music. We can emotionally understand the cues given to us. Music is a language that is learned, and is not really universal. Music language is developed in the society and we are born and raised in. Music is the means of communication between people. Sound produced when something is set in motion, vibration occurs, disturbs air column, produces waves, outer ear, ear canal, ear drum, ear bones (maleus, incus, stapes) which amplify vibrations and sounds, inner ear which is filled with fluid. All sound waves travel at the same speed. Relative position of a musical sound depending on frequency. High frequency = high pitch = high note played on instrument.
