Document Summary

Crime statistics are reflective of changes in reporting habits. One of the ironic consequences is that if there is an increaseof reporting crime there might be an increase in the crime rate. Jurisdiction all over north america past legislation about crime in the schools, things that entitle to safe school act. High schools were required for the first time to report to the police criminal incidents that occus in the school. Before in schools if there was any pushing or shoving between students, they would only get a warning and be told not to do that. These days however it is required for the school to make a report about these incidents. Part of the investigation discovered that over sometime female students were sexually assaulted in different places in the school. Apparently the faculty members of the school knew about it, but didn"t say anything. Changes in reporting habits can lead to an increase of the crime.
