Document Summary

His work sends out messages & critiques about everyday life. He is a gifted artist/well-trained artist, got skills in colouring/wordings. He plays on a set of assumptions that we have for our world, and he visualizes it (graffiti) Using icons (mickey mouse & mcd holding a naked girl"s hand) A place where norms are being stabilized. *time and place of the images are important. Banksy plays around of the ideas that we considered as normal and the ones that are not. A norm is behaviour, an attribute or an idea that is widely viewed as being acceptable (and often desirable) at a particular place and time. E. g. washing hands after using the washroom. The relationship between law and norm is complicated. Norms are very ordinary and that"s what makes norms so powerful (cause its everywhere, in every second) The norms are still so powerful until now.
