Taught them to not be indigenous or practice their culture. Told them that their children will be taught to read and write. But they will taught not to practice their nature rituals, language, or clothing. Taught them how white europeans considered to be civilized. How to be part of society, not just the subject matter you are learning. Golden dustpan award for classroom that was the cleanest.
