Not only are you shamed, but entire family is shamed. Assumption there that there is a sense of rationality. Marginalized group adapts because they always have to adapt. Not having privilege is harder for someone who comes from a place of privilege. Social: institutional support (organization recognize that sth happened; ttc) Has each other (had someone in their life who understood what they"re going thru) Children (having someone depend on you is what keeps you going) Mentorship (in places where ppl are going thru the same thing too)
