Introspection: act of looking inward, the examination of one"s mental experience followed by report of the mental contents of one"s consciousness, believed in innate knowledge. Thomas hobbes and descartes commonly disagreed with one another but believed humans and machines are common in terms of mechanical similarities. But believed animals and humans to be different because humans can think and has a soul. 1: everything is at rest until motion changes it.
