Reading: humanities greatest invention writing transcends all of this in important ways because other skills developed based on our communication about them via. writing and reading. Language only exists for people who use it, speak it and pass it down. Writing lets us get around this as putting a record down for all of us to remember this. English writing systems are no longer comprehensible than it was before but it is more possible to track older language systems via. scripts (written records) Perceptual limitations can be constraining of how we perceive characters of orthography: # of brush strokes to write efficiently (2-5 brush strokes), we can start right from where visual information enters our brain (eye), visual acuity & blurry fields.
