Lecture 2: - natural kind view: emotions carve nature at its joints the emotion is the basic unit i. e. cell or molecule. Good a pattern detections if we experience similar circumstances we convey emotion. Categorizing experiences and create response that has meaning because we lumped it together. Core affect arousal (low or high) or pleasant/unpleasant always having core affect. It is at the core of all our emotional experiences.
