Recall : natural selection happens when, w/i-species competition. There has to be competition to survive on some sort of resource: w/i-species differences. There has to be differences on genetics: phenotype tied to genotype. Emotions are adaptive which is caused by natural selection. They are actions that help our ancestors survive.
