Psychological science is the study of the mind, brain and behavior. There are many other factors that affect behavior, mind and brain. Cognitive psychology is concerned with the systematic study of how cognitive processes work. Mind wandering is also a very interesting branch of psychology. We use that time to make a lot of decisions. We think to ourselves and it has a lot of utility and thus should not be ignored.
