Document Summary

Example: imagine you are standing on the side of lake and observing sail boats. Then there is a fog and you can"t see most of the boats. So something is going on in the lake, but you can"t see it. All you can see are two buoys in the water. Imagine the movement of the two buoys sensing the vibration of the water and using that to reconstruct the entire map of the boats. Sound is air molecules that move around based on objects that are moving. Objects move, pushes air molecules, and pushes air, and the air in the ear vibrates and the noises are then transmitted. The air molecules actually don"t travel through the medium, more like they vibrate around in their localized spot, and cause the next molecule/atom to vibrate similarly in their own spots. Notice the back horizontal lines are constant the chamber where the air is located.
