PSYB45H3 Lecture Notes - Lecture 6: Nail Biting, Autism Spectrum, Playtime
Document Summary
Schedules that reinforce specific rates of responding: focus on the rate, can be used to reinforce high or low rates of a response, were focusing on low rates, as does the textbook. For when some of the behaviour is tolerable: as long as a person does that or equal to that number, they get a reinforcement, ex: its okay if bobby says things 3 times an hour. Yell 4 times, no reinforcement: spaced-responding drl: specified behaviour cannot occur during certain time interval; after interval has passed, the behaviour must occur for reinforcement, want to space it out. For when the behaviour must be spaced out over time: only desirable if it doesn"t happen to often, ex: the teacher wants to modify a persons participations so other students can participate. If don"t fulfill the full 10 minutes, the clock starts over.
