Reliability consistency of measurement: test-retest reliability. Doing the test again in hope to get the same conclusion: alternate-form reliability. Creating different versions of a test to see if you can get the same conclusions: internal consistency reliability. How well the items on the test measure the same construct or idea: inter-radar reliability. When two people make a measurement, they come to the same conclusions. Validity whether it fulfills its purpose; dependent on reliability: content validity. Make sure the measurement adequately matches the main topic of study: criterion validity. Evaluating by determining whether the measurement is related to an outcome; can be either predictive of later behaviour or concurrent measure of behaviour or knowledge. Predictive validity: what it is we"re measuring can predict reliably something that it ought to (ex. Ecological validity: how well can you predict what can happen in the assessment environment in comparison to the real world: construct validity.
