We need to go beyond the data and decide based on it. When we are designing better ways to make judgments and decisions, we must understand which errors people typically make. Mental shortcuts/rules of thumb for making judgments. Heuristics are good enough much of the time. When we make a certain kind of judgement, we base it off of how much we think about something, how much we are focused on something and how easily subjects come into our minds. Seems reasonable to make decisions based on what it"s our heads.
