Certain fluids may be dominant and determine your personality. Allport made a list of words in the english language we use to describe somebody"s personality. Cardinal traits notion that a person has a trait so dominant it defines the person. Machiavellian core of philosophy is lack of empathy. We don"t have single trait that defines us. We have central traits and secondary traits. All of us vary from these central traits. A lot of them are related to each other and can break them down to 3. Neuroticism determine is somebody is stable or unstable. Depending on how these things mix, we can get to know your personality. Everything we do is motivated by instinctual energy. Id = it -> animal as a beastly thing. Primal self wants things and when it wanted, it want it now (immediate gratification). Social conventions and rules are captured in super ego.
