Not protected title = no standard training. Who is a regulated health professional in ontario: all the above titles are protected. These individuals must be registered w/ the college in order to officially practice. I. e. , osteopaths are not on this list (also work under alternative medicine). Interestingly, dieticians are on this list; they report to a certain college. The health professions procedural code: sets out a comprehensive set of rules that all health regulatory colleges must follow. College must ensure health professional regulation/health professional care in ontario is: open, transparent, accessible and fair manner i. e. , explaining rights to clients, being fair and equal, and explaining things to clients in a way they"ll understand. Oversee the practice of that specific discipline. Act as a resource to the public.
