Definition: the study of spatial organization of human activity and of people"s relationship with their environments. Example: the arrangement of students & professors are such that the professor is at the front of the lecture hall and the students are seated at the back in rows. The spatial organization of the students & professors shows the authority of the professor. Organization includes economics, culture, politics, & other social processes. Environment includes social & physical landscapes & places. A social landscape delves into human interaction seen in everyday lives. A physical landscape is a place that can be located on the map, and has a physical boundary. Politics involves government leaders representing his/her country and making laws that conform society. Money is a form of currency that is given greater value than it is actually worth. Multiple histories & geographies exist & over layer one another.
