Document Summary

Plants need this the most for growth, survival, and reproduction. The rate @ which humans are adding primary nutrients from agriculture is a lot esp. nitrogen. Law of the minimum: plant growth, survival, and reproduction will keep on going until it is limited by one of the nutrients, usually it is one of the primary macronutrients. Once you hit the sufficiency range, even if you add more of the nutrients, it wont increase the plant growth anymore: it could be because you are now missing another type of nutrient. At one point if you cont. to take in nutrients, you will hit the luxury consumption and you will move into the toxicity range, which decreases plant growth. Know this graph for the final: pg 38. We are most likely in the middle to end of the sufficiency range so any type of nutrients decrease wont really do anything.
