Document Summary

In which they go to the centre of the earth through a volcano ain. Iceland and it gets hotter and hotter as they go down, because deep interior has radioactivity as radioactive is breaking down of radioactive substances releasing heat. It is found in area called abduction where plates are moved together towards each other, so collision of this cause the rocks to move up. Other ways of rocks coming to the surface is by volcano and through meteorites: deepest drill hole anywhere on the planet is about 13km. There are physical limits to the depth we can measure because of geothermal heat flux. Steel which we use for drilling starts getting soft as we go down so we use cold fluids inside it to cool it continuously: focus-the location where the energy is generated and earthquake begins. The ground ruptures at this spot, then seismic waves radiate outward in all directions.
