Document Summary

All the chemical reaction that take place within our body using energy is metabolism. Metabolism is the process that break down and build up molecules. Metabolic is the rate of energy consumption. Unlike energy that human can put in in electric energy (battery) the body cannot reuse the energy that was once used. The energy used to build the molecular structure is different from this case because that energy is not converted but rather is still in the process of being used. Metabolic rate is different depending on the food differences. The consumption of carbohydrate would result in production of larger heat thus high usage of energy and ultimately higher metabolic rate. Metabolic rate also depends on what you"re doing as well. The more activity, the higher the metabolic rate. The differences in metabolic rate depending on the body size is called allometric relationship. The larger the animal, the less energy it uses.
