Slide 2: virus is very different form eukaryotic cell. Virus are adapting to the medicine that we are throwing at it. We can create medicine that shut down virus cell without damaging our cell. Giardia lambia: causes beaver fever: usually found in natural water sources, it"s a eukaryote, it can alter surface protein to evade your immune system, can end up with chronic or recurrent infections. Causes fatigue, vomiting, headaches, seizures, come or death. Slide 5: naegleria fowleri: lives in warm tropical water. Slide 6: protest are diverse group of eukaryotes. Anything that is not : prokaryote, fungi, animal or plant. Can live as heterotrophs, some combine hetero and autotrophy. Are motile or have motile stages in their life history. Live in either water sources or very moist location. Algae and seaweed very important food source for aquatic organisms. Each protists uses cell-cell signaling to mediate cooperation. Some can also be multi cellular (giant kelp)
