Document Summary
Evolution is just a theory, not a fact: scientific theory is different from our everyday use. In science: the theory is not a guess or a hunch, it is well-established, well-supported, well-documented, explanations for our observations, theory becomes law, no hierarchy, but if there was then theory > law. If life originated on earth in the distant past and then evolved, we should see the evidence in the fossil record. If evolution occurred within lineages, and those lineages sometimes split then we should see changes in species or morphology through the fossil record. If creatures share a common ancestry, then we should see transitional forms: we should see evidence of retrodictions and vestigial characters, we should see evidence of natural selection. Peter and rosemary grant: were professors at mcgill but recently retired from princeton, they did long-term fieldwork on the galapagos islands, they observed natural selection in action, they studied the daphne major island in specific.
