Nations are imagined communities, there are no natural communities of the nations, nothing inherent between people and language, you are not born knowing people or language, something you experience and grow into. Transnationalism: way of imagined community within the space of the nations, sense of national belonging. Nation state itself is a bureaucratic entity, they control everything that goes on in their nation. Media is important in both transnationalism and nationalism. Transnationalism has diaspora but there is no sense of return, there is a sense of homeland but idea of return is not assumed g.
