This concept is important in the anthropology of tourism. Nature, something exotic, we look for people that live in a culture that is not as modern as we are ( aka stuck in time/ less developed). A lot of assumptions we have as tourists we might make assumptions about people we think are different from us. It is quite wrong to think these people we see are stuck in time when we are tourists: we try to problemize the concept. Final exam: will not be ask on details like what tavela means. You will be tested on it in relation of concepts: tutorials are related to articles. Will be tested on the article: 25 mc x 2 = 2 50 points.
