Hidden sets of rules, codes, and conventions through which meaning which are in reality specific to certain groups are rendered universal and given for a society. Signs: convey the meaning of signifier (something that constructs the meaning) and a signified (what it means to you). Hyper reality; pretense of transparency: which becomes more real than the reality. Info-tainment: 24 hrs news cycle: information is at your fingertips, cable news: sales pitch. Information is stylized: ratings, news is rating-driven now, style and information have become one, entertainment age.
