A way of learning the gendered behaviour through some kind of power formation. In a traditional sense, hierarchy of power would have prison guard and prisoners. Because we cant see prison guard, the power of the vision guard tower turns into a network of social order. Every node of the social network is connected. Gendered subjects are produced and naturalized in the self-surveillance. With incremental progress that women"s movement made over decades. Domestic labour still needs to be done. Large population of domestic workers freeze up middle to upper class women who are able to shift their work to public sphere. Also relies on a racial conception of non-white women as more maternal than white women. Referring to the idea that racialized populations are imagined as domestically organized they have more children, so women are more maternal. It rests on that logic and reinforces that logic. Women of colour become naturally suited for domestic labour.
