Why should for profit companies care about diversity. People that care about diversity made them care by using the business care. In order to convince business why diversity might matter they framed the question as why diversity might be good for business. Homeopaths need medical evidence to treat kids. Diversity is important for the bottom line. Accelerate prosperity, not being nice or inclusive just care aout bottom line. The same thing through different eyes look different. Pressure to care for corporations is because they are not diverse. Women not partners or corporate council even though educations have equality going into professions, no longer equal. At entry level jobs, women represent 40 percent of entry level jobs, c-suite jobs = less than 20% women. Diversity dwindles with higher level of management. This happens accoss industries, not just one occupation. Big companies say that they are data driven, by using data it can solve problem of diversity.
