Attitudes twd marriage: 40% believe no ideal family model, 94% approve interracial marriage, >2/3 approve of same-sex marriage. Definition of marriage has become more complex and inclusive over the years. Pre-contact: combo of nuclear fams w/ extended fam and clan structures, gender complementary, rather than male privilege.
