They do not represent the victim; they represent the state. Objective is to get evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. They hand it to the defense lawyer who develops a case based on that, so they can scrutinize and aruge against it. If you pled guilty, we will reduce the penalty. In a youth court, they are more active so the process is more sound as you"re dealing with youth. A lot of it includes paperwork and administration. They generally work with the crown prosecutors. They provide information about the crime itself. But a lot of time consists of note taking they need to be thorough for defence lawyers. So many cases are predated on contract. Contract -do not always have binding contracts; some are, some aren"t.
