Gender- refers to the culturally and socially constructed differences between males and females found in the meanings, beliefs, and practices associated with masculinity and femininity. Gender ideologies: set of ideas about what constitutes appropriate masculine and feminine roles and behaviours. Heteronormativity: holds that heterosexuality is the normal sexual orientation, and assumes an alignment between biological sex, gender identity, and gender roles. Intersex: variation in sex characteristics that do not allow distinct sex identification. Transgendered: break social norms by defying rigid gender distinctions. Transsexual: alter their gender, believe they were born in the wrong body. Heterosexual: prefer partners of the opposite sex.
