Memory: memory changes our brain and how we process info. Though transient, it is captured for a very long time for us to capture it in the future and becomes stable over life time. Learning and memory are linked: learning: acquisition of altered behaviour response due to env"t stimulus. Has to induce a change in you, not just transient response: memory: storage of learned item and be subject of recall by some mech, recall: conscious or uncon retrieval to alter behaviour as manifest. Explicit vs. imp: explicit: active conscious process. It is an intentional remembering of prior exp: episodic: memory of something that happened to you, semantic: memory facts, anything you know that you learned but not tied to a specific event. Implicit: has a different neural circuitry than explicit. For uncon, non-intentional memory: procedural: for task, priming: exposure to one stimulus influences a response to another stimulus, content of experience, spatial and temporal context.
