There is evidence that if you give people training (rhythm ex) it seems to improve phonological awareness, and improve dyslexia. Dyslexia seems to be more of a rhythm defect. Gave them a test, and it was correlated with the perception and production of english speech sounds, and vocabulary and syntax: good listeners are good at music aptitude, and good at acquiring a second language. These variables matter at how well you would speak english: there is some kind of link with music aptitude and listening to speech. Finnish children or adults: music aptitude is correlated with the production of english speech sounds. Music aptitude is a marker of intelligence: there is evidence that music attitude is associated with general intelligence. When looking at general population, music aptitude may be one marker for general ability. 10-year-olds: you have a bunch of variables (i. e. , a, b, c, d . ) and there are subjects. We also know that it is not ses variables.
