Talking about the endocrine system, talking about the bodies hormonal system. Hormones are a class of proteins that are similar to neurotransmitters. Distinction between hormones and neurotransmitters is the tissue/cells they interact with. Neurotransmitters tend to interact with other neurons. Hormones are proteins/amino acids that interact with other types of cells. There are some classes of neurotransmitters that interact with neurons and other cells; therefore, can be both. Endocrine system is a link that helps brain control our body.
