A fundamental or core personality exists and is relaively stable across diferent contexts, situaions and ime. Personality is based upon traits and traits make us diferent from each other. Collecion of perceived roles, aggregate roles (according to the society in which you live), life experiences, narraives, values, and moives. Includes traits, but it is a collecion of the things above. There are two main ways about thinking about things if they are the same or diferent across cultures. Personality organizaion and dimensions are universal and somewhat biologically innate. All of us regardless of culture have the same core set of traits. According to this view culture does not produce variaion in these underlying traits.
